Holding true to his promise, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is planning to transport “thousands” of border crossers out of the Lone Star State and into sanctuary cities like New York City and Chicago once Title 42 expires on May 11.
Since sanctuary cities have long indicated, and proudly so, that they are free and open for an illegal alien invasion, Abbott figures these areas of the country will welcome with open arms the influx of “migrants” as a true embodiment of their open borders policies.
Once Border Patrol and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) lose the ability to remove illegal immigrants over concerns about health and the spread of communicable diseases, Abbott says he will immediately begin shipping these illegals elsewhere into communities that embrace the “no human is illegal” mantra.
Particularly those wealthy communities blanketed in colorful yard signs about how “hate has no home here” will get a true taste of what limitless illegal immigration looks like right in their own backyards.
“With the Biden Administration ending Title 42 this Thursday, President Biden is laying down a welcome mat to people across the entire world, saying that the United States border is wide open and it will lead to an incredible amount of people coming across the border illegally,” Abbott announced this week about the plan.
(Related: U.S. states along the southern border are expecting an illegal alien influx of around 90,000 border rushers over a 10-day period once Title 42 expires.)
Back in April, Abbott made headlines when he initially announced that the illegals flooding his state would be bused out of Texas into “blue” areas of the country that have long claimed to welcome and accept their “undocumented” neighbors. Will this still be their position once actual illegals start invading their posh neighborhoods for real instead of just on television and social media?
Will the virtue-signaling yard sign brigade put their money where their mouth is once the deluge of people from south of the border actually starts occupying their parks, sidewalks, downtown streets, and any other spots these invaders are able to find? We doubt it, but Abbott is eager to find out.
We already know that the “elite” on Martha’s Vineyard are not too keen on having illegals and other “undesirables” in their neighborhoods, as was demonstrated when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis shipped a bunch of them there last year.
New York City has already received nearly 20,000 illegal aliens as of last October, as the southern border has been problematic for a while now. That number is about to increase drastically once Title 42 ends and Texas starts sending even more of them there.
Mayor Eric Adams has already declared a state of emergency in anticipation of the influx – because governments always need some excuse to have an “emergency” in place so they can override people’s constitutional rights. We will certainly see how things go for the Big Apple in the coming days.
“Thousands have been bussed already” to cities like New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., Abbott admitted this week about how the bussing plan has already been in motion.
“Many thousands more will be bussed in the coming days because of the massive influx of illegal migrants.”
The Texas National Guard is already in place at the U.S.-Mexico border in anticipation of Title 42’s expiration. Every day, at least 13,000 border rushers are expected to at least attempt entry. At that rate, at least 4.74 million illegals will attempt to break into the U.S. illegally by the time 2023 comes to a close.
